Job Requirements

Minimum Qualification: Diploma/Degree in aviation related subject preferably in aircraft maintenance discipline (Airframe/Powerplant; Electrical/Avionics; Aircraft Maintenance technology) Instructional techniques /lsquo;Train-the-Trainerrsquo; certificate and/or acceptance/ approval/certification by a civilian/military agency/organization Required Experience: An ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10+ years of experience in Maintenance Technical Inspection (preferably on August/Leonardo AW139 Platform) including at least three 3-4 years' experience teaching General/Technical Aviation subject like Human Factors, Corrosion, TAMMS, EWIS etc OR teaching Aircraft Maintenance with a related aircraft/engine/major component manufacturer, or within a military/civilian aircraft maintenance organization. Knowledge of, and experience in, training methodologies and management utilizing a systems approach (SAT or ADDIE) is highly desirable. Prior experience working with military aviation units is preferred. Aircraft maintenance license or certificate (Helicopter), e.g. (Mechanical) A P certificate or B1.3 license is highly desirable.

Job Description

The General Aviation Instructor will conduct classroom, fields instruction and On-Job-Training and assist in the development of the maintenance training programs to enhance the skills of trainees. The instructor will conduct trainee assessment and will provide remedial training as necessary. The instructor will review the course material with the course developer in order to maintain training effectiveness, also maintain records of training activities and of student attendance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform instruction in a classroom and in the field environment (On the Job Training) regarding application of aircraft safety principle, use of technical publications and aviation regulations, performing maintenance fundamentals, performing inspections, and servicing of aircraft systems components, and other maintenance related topics.
Work with course developers, providing the necessary technical information and guidance to develop instructional materials.
Review, provide expertise, assist in the development of, and/or revise courses instructional materials using the systems approach to training (SAT or ADDIE).
Assist in the Preparation of syllabi detailing maintenance courses which will be conducted to produce employees qualified to perform aircraft maintenance.
Prepare instructional materials to support of the specific platform and other related courseware.
Conduct desired classroom and field instruction as required.
Perform intermediate and terminal assessments to determine the extent to which learning is taking place.
Review assessment reports and course evaluations to amend training courses, as necessary, to ensure effectiveness of training.
Maintain records of students attendance, discipline and manage the learning process.
Maintain trainee records, and collaborate with other Instructors.
Responsible for general housekeeping for all assigned areas.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Training Supervisor or Manager.
