CJ Systems Aviation Group, a leading provider of air medical services, congratulates Florida-based Martin County Fire Rescue on being named “EMS Provider of the Year” by the Florida Department of Health, Bureau of EMS.

Martin County Fire Rescue — a partner of CJ Systems — earned this prestigious award for achievement in quality assurance, patient care, public access, medical control, disaster preparedness, public education, training within the state of Florida. Since the award’s inception in 1991, only six fire rescue services have won the designation.

“With more than 250 EMS providers in the state of Florida, Martin County Fire Rescue ranks at the top of the list as an innovator and leader. That’s quite an achievement,” said Larry Pietropaulo, President and Chief Operating Officer at CJ Systems.  “This award recognizes the high level of service that we have come to value from our partners, and it further enhances CJ Systems’ commitment to
providing The Best People and The Highest Standards.”

Martin County Fire Rescue is unique among many fire rescue providers in that 100 percent of its 260-member team holds and maintains State of Florida EMS certification.

In 2000, Martin County Fire Rescue became the first in the United States to create what remains a unique private/public partnership to provide regional air medical services via its LifeStar program.  A true regional asset, the program has provided critical care treatment and transportation for more than 2,500 patients since its inception — totaling more than 65,000 patient air miles flown.
