The Field-Based Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) ensures that Company aircraft are maintained in a safe and airworthy condition by the airworthiness standards prescribed by applicable regulations, airworthiness directives, and Trans Aeros policy and procedure.

Responsible for maintaining and providing the current status of aircraft and forecast downtime
Perform aircraft maintenance, including inspection, modification, maintenance, and repair of aircraft, airframe, rotors, engines, and appliances by the procedures in the Trans Aero LTD General Operations Manual, Manufacturer’s documentation, applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, and other approved data sources
Communicate, plan, and coordinate with the New Mexico 135 Maintenance Manager the maintenance schedule for base aircraft, considering factors such as workflow, location of equipment, facilities, tools, parts, supplies, and job requirements.
Communicate with the pilots and the clinical crew upon arrival at the base each workday for any questions or concerns about the condition of the aircraft, before beginning the workday
Provide after-hours maintenance/on-call support for the base(s) as required
Ensure discrepancies are accurately documented and addressed during maintenance and inspections
Maintain the field base to the Trans Aero LTD standard policy and procedure requirements
Take complete ownership and responsibility of the aircraft assigned to the base
Prepare and submit materials requests. Receive inventory and ship inventory to other locations.
Maintain company-owned local Ground Support Equipment (GSE)
Ensure all necessary aircraft documents are completed and maintained by applicable 14 CFR Regulations, General Operations Manual, and company policies
Perform inspections on all incoming parts and materials immediately upon arrival
Ensure parts with a shelf life limit are removed from inventory before expiration
Request Secondary Maintenance Checks following any maintenance, preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs or alterations
Ensure all company-owned and personally owned calibrated tools are kept up to date on the company-calibrated tool tracking log for their assigned base or location
Perform other duties as assigned

Average year round temperature is 70 degrees. Must be willing to relocate to San Diego, California.

This exciting position includesresponsibility for managing and coordinating all aspects of a legacy Part 135 helicopter Charter Division (theldquo;Divisionrdquo;). This role will report directly to the ldquo;Companyrsquo;srdquo; CEO and work closely with the Marketing and Business Development department. This position requires a high level of experience in charter sales, high- end clientele and hospitality, growth strategies, customer service, and operational efficiency, and working with multiple departments, to ensure the seamless execution of charter flights, while adhering to FAA regulations and company policies. This is a new senior role in the Company, and the candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a business plan for the Division, which includes a focus on significantly growing charter sales, fleet optimization, increased profitability and margins, and geographic destination expansion.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Charter Coordination:bull; Manage and coordinate helicopter charter seat sales, including quoting, booking, and scheduling.bull; Managing the Companyrsquo;s current book of business while marketing to new clients and verticals, in order tobuild a year-round business with advanced bookings and loyal long-term customers.bull; Liaise with high-net-worth individuals and corporations, with the ability to understand their requirements,needs, and tailor bespoke itineraries to provide exceptional air travel experiences.bull; Working closely with the companyrsquo;s team of pilots and other divisions to ensure a seamless first-class servicefor a demanding and particular client base.

Marketing and Sales Growth:bull; Manage proactive client engagements through various marketing, including: email campaigns, social media,special events, personalized meetings etc. to drive better execution of services.bull; Develop sales growth strategies to drive new client growth and expand existing client usage.bull; Work closely with the Marketing and Business Development division, to expand destination partnerships witha proactive view of innovation, keeping ahead of the market and promoting charter services across omni mediachannels.bull; Organize and lead client meetings, assist marketing in industry and hospitality trade associations and buildnew business relationships/JVs.bull; Provide input on Company wide marketing strategies and materials, to enhance the visibility and appeal ofcharter services.bull; Provide support for business expansion efforts, including additional partnership organizations and innovativedestination partners.

To perform pilot-in-command flight and related duties on VFR-equipped single-engine helicopters as required by Hydro One Networks Inc. This posting is a temporary/full-time (up to 18 months) role that may lead to permanent full-time work.

General accountabilities:

Act as pilot in command as directed by the operations manager or delegate by:

  • Being responsible for the operation and safety of the helicopter, and for the safety and security of all persons involved during flight operations.
  • Having final authority to conduct or cancel scheduled flight operations.
  • Ensuring that the helicopter is operated in accordance with aircraft flight manual and all applicable orders, standard operation procedures, Transport Canada regulations, Hydro One policies, and directives.
  • Providing liaison with internal Hydro One lines of business in determining the flight operation of the helicopter to deliver the necessary expertise for helicopter related work. This will be coordinated with the operations coordinator and the chief pilot.
  • Taking required training courses as directed by the chief pilot, and Transport Canada policies (i.e. recurrent training on helicopter types and configurations AS350 B3, H125)
  • Demonstrate good judgment and decision-making ability.
  • Providing safety briefings including instruction on aircraft safety/survival equipment location and techniques of use in the event of emergency.
  • Thorough pre-job planning as well as conducting and participating in tailboard meetings.
  • Providing instruction and mentorship to Hydro One lines of business staff on helicopter approved work methods and occasionally acting as an instructor to deliver helicopter services training courses.
  • Conducting pre-flight inspection of the aircraft confirming serviceability and preforming pre-flight duties such as documentation, weight and balance calculations and flight planning as required
  • Overseeing safe configuration of aircraft (i.e. external sling loads, and adherence to all up weight load limit specifications and proper loading and securement of cargo, including use of basket).
  • Maintaining high standard of aircraft serviceability and cleanliness
  • Recording defects and assisting air engineers in defect rectification carrying out ground run-ups and flight tests of repaired and post maintenance aircraft as required.
  • Conducting administrative tasks at obligatory intervals such as recording flight duty times, aircraft document revision control, and expense and time sheet management,
  • Participating in company safety management system by regularly reporting hazard and incidents when encountered and aiding in the corrective action follow up process

Qualifications and Licensing:

  • Grade 12 minimum education
  • Valid Class 1 Aviation Medical Certificate
  • Fully vaccinated against Covid-19
  • Valid Commercial (or higher) Canadian pilot license with minimum of 3,000 flight hours
  • Minimum of 1,500 hours combined experience on AS355 and AS350BA, B2, B3, B3e aircraft
  • Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Licence
  • Valid passport or ability to acquire.  No restrictions for cross border travel.
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods Training an asset
  • Recent Flying in the Wires Training an asset

Knowledge/Skill:

  • Thorough knowledge of Canadian Air Regulations with significant experience flying in Canadian remote as well as high density airspace. 
  • Extensive precision vertical reference external load experience required.
  • Experience conducting power line patrols, and knowledge of electrical distribution and transmission power maintenance and construction
  • Solid aviation knowledge base including weather reporting, GPS and electronic mapping navigational techniques, weather minima, and aircraft radio communication.
  • Comfortable working with modern electronic systems and document control.
  • Must possess and demonstrate well developed communication, public relations, and documentation writing skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement and decisiveness in stressful and emergency situations
  • Must be able to work independently without constant supervision.
  • Experienced in Class D and/or hoist operations an asset
  • Survival and first aid training an asset

ABOUT THE ROLE
As Chief Engineer, you are responsible for assisting the Director of Maintenance in all facets of the maintenance
operation. Working closely with the other Chief Engineer, in addition to your regular duties as a licensed Rotary Aircraft
Maintenance Engineer (A.M.E.), you will be responsible for the supervision, training and guidance of maintenance
personnel, monitoring work of other AMEs, forecasting and planning maintenance projects, coordinating activities
between maintenance and flight ops, mentoring and leading apprentices and other staff, and all other duties associated
with the day to day running of the maintenance department.
YOU ARE
· Canadian licensed AME. Endorsements on EC135 and AS350 are definite assets.
· In depth knowledge of maintenance operations with a minimum of eight years’ senior AME experience
· Ability to analyze problems with excellent decision-making abilities
· Highly professional with a proven track record of maintaining excellent relationships with co-workers and/or
subordinates. While previous senior management level experience is an asset, it is not required.
· Committed to delivering results and working effectively in a large group.
· Legally entitled to work within Canada
THE FINE PRINT
While this position is primarily based in Boundary Bay, frequent travel to our other maintenance facilities, particularly
Pemberton, will be required on a regular basis. The company is flexible on performance in terms of type of schedule:
rotational (i.e. 2/2), regular Monday to Friday, or compressed days such as 4 tens.

The Operations Manager is responsible for maintaining operational control over Mustang flight personnel and aircraft to ensure safety and efficiency. Job Requirements:

  • Qualifications: The Operations Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our helicopter fleet, composed of over 40 aircraft. This position requires a dynamic individual with exceptional organizational, management, and communication skills to ensure efficient and effective operations. The Operations Manager will manage contract execution, personnel, scheduling, and operational compliance (aerial Work 702/ Air Taxi 703), ensuring all activities align with the company’s strategic goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience in a position that exercised operational control in the aviation industry sector. Previous experience as an Operations Manager or Chief Pilot is required.
  • Decision-Making: Must be able to make critical decisions under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Attention to detail is a critical skill.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
